Alright well I am 15/F and I want to learn how to play the bass guitar. My question is, how much do bass guitars and all the equipment cost? Also I know what tabs are but I have no idea how to read them. I just need to know everything about how to play OR if you know of any websites that could help me that would be great! Thanks so much! Bass Guitar for dummies. THE best book for trying to start bass ever. It comes with how to buy basses, how to read cords, and a cd in the back with examples and stuff. Good luck, I play drums by the way and my friend plays bass.. wooo

I started my period this morning (not for the first time, I've had it for 2 years) and I had REALLY bad cramps and I never usually get cramps.
They were so bad, I couldn't get out of bed.
I know cramps are normal but is it normal for your cramps to start after 2 years of not having them?

and also I vomited today. I've never vomited from my period before but my mom said she used to every month when her period came.
Is that normal!? Especially after two years of not having any trouble with my period.

Well your mom said that she had the exact same thing.. so sorry kiddo, you guys are probably the same. For the cramps, you may want to take some midol.

Sometimes cramps and different symptoms can come at any stage that you've had your period, and two years isn't tooo long to have your period. If you need any more help drop one by the inbox.

Okay , this girl moved from another part of the town to the part i live in around last year . I was quite popular in school. I became friends with her because i thought she was sweet and friendly. But since last month ( or maybe even before that ,who knows?) she started backstabbing me , but still acted nice and sweet and oh-so-innocent in front of me .I have been busy for some time because of some commitments i have , so i didn't realise this until last week . None of my old friends talk to me as much as before , and now even when i sms my best guy friend , he'll talk about her smsing him at the same time .And it seems as though all of them like her more than they like me , and my best guy friend ( former ? ) he'll say stuff like :" oh , me and her and ___ and ___ and ___ are real close man " Without even including ME ! And if he wants to go somewhere he'll say :"if she goes , i'll go . " It turns out she's been saying stuff behind my back , and now , SHE'S where i used to be , with MY friends , and MY popularity .Even my crush seems to sorta like her , and pay attention to her like how he used to do with me . WHAT SHOULD I DO ?

step four: replace her little act and get the glory.. WOO for something that only last for a few years.

Hi, Im going to the Vans Warped Tour in Milwaukee this summer. Its gonan be hot, so what should I wear? How long does it go until? Are there a lot of drugs? Am I gonna get beat up if Im sorta preppy? (im a girl) Let me know! thanks!

hehe.. MY QUESTION.. I went to warped last year and it was pouring here in Dallas. And it usually starts at about 11:00 and ends LATE LATE at night. Yea.. there are some drugs around but you don't see it, if anything you sorta smell it but it's not too bad, or at least it wasn't last year. Overall, there are a lot of diverse and REALLY awesome people at warped tour. If you dress sorta "preppy" you might get some glares, but there are police officers around so no one can really get beat up or anything.

Warped tour is probably the BEST fun you will ever have in your life, seriously.. it was one of the BEST days of my life and the people there were so cool. It's funny how "gothic" people are mostly nicer than "preppy" people.. My advice though is to hang with a friend, aka buddy system, I walked around with my friend and we were perfectly fine, and we were in seventh grade, so don't worry about it. For shows though it helps to find a fence to sit on if you're short.. tall moshes sorta suck.

To wear.. I wore black shorts and a black t-shirt.. if it's really hot it can all depend, something really light and easy to wear. Don't wear anything uncomfortable because you'll be in it a long time...

It's different for all girls, and you'll be fine. If you start seeing some white stuff in your panties that's a good indication you're about to get it soon though.

I just got my period like over a year ago and i'm going to the beach in like 3 weeks. My period is very UNEVEN. I don't know when to expect it..my question is, what am i gonna do when i have it on the beach..is there any way i can prevent it? please help

There isn't a guarantee you'll get it there, but if I were you I'd talk to my mom, and get some tampons or something. Don't worry, periods are usually uneven when you are just starting and it takes a while for the cycle to become even and predictable.

well i went to a concer like 2 days ago and i was in the mosh pit and i got thrown on stage...
i stood up and the band had stopped playing and everyone was staring at me...i feld so embarassed. but then i saw my bf in the front row and i started singing the song that they were playing... so they started playing the song again and i was up their the whole show..
the band called me the next day and asked me and my band to come with them on tour... my band is called the audio switch.
should i go on tour with them and miss the whole summer hangin wid my friends or play punk rock music with mental riot on tour?!?!?!

they both sound so awesome but bieng on tour with metal riot is a chance of a lifetime..

Ok so recently i've decided to become a vegitarian. But my parents think its stupid and that I won't last. They arent being supportive at all of my decision and they just wont accept it. It just really bothers me how they are so judgemental about this. what can i do to just get them to accept me being a vegitarian?

Well, as you probably know, I myself am a vegetarian. My parents were pretty supportive about it and figure I'll give it up after a while.. they keep trying to tempt me with meat and such but the smell makes me sick, but I keep it strong anyway, it's all about will power.. Anyway. You can start on your own, I'm sure in your house you probably have carrots, vegetables and fruits.. So who says you are forced to eat meat? Now being a vegetarian isn't just not eating meat, you have to be careful about your protein because protein is what gives you energy and makes you strong. I like tofu a lot, so that is my main source of protein. But, you can get protein from a lot of other stuff too. Believe me, being a vegetarian is much easier than people think, but there are things you need to know otherwise it can be dangerous to your body.

Here's a list of some foods that have lots of protein.

-beans

A LOT of vegetarians eat mexican food like crazy, why? Because of all the beans. And let's face it, a lot of mexican food is cheap beyond all reason. But if you are like me, and hate beans this isn't a good alternative.

--eggs

For breakfast in the morning a good helping of eggs is full of protein. But this is only good if you are just wanting to be a vegetarian, if you wish to be a vegan" then this is an automatic out because vegans don't eat ANY animal bi-products.. I can't be a vegan.. I don't have that much will power..

-milk or shakes

My dad sometimes makes me milkshakes for an extra protein boost. You can do this with a regular old blender, strawberries, icecream, ice, and anything else you want to add. It's sorta fun to experiment and find out what you like, but milk has LOTS of protein and it's good to keep you strong. In my shakes I like icecream, a little bit of dr. pepper for zing, and ice to make it sort of crunchy.. but I'm weird like that..

-tofu

I eat tofu almost on a regular basis, a lot of people think it's gross but it's actually sorta fascinating.. because you can do SO much with it. It absorbs any flavor and there is so much you can do, and so many different things you can get out of it. It also has A LOT of protein. Just so you know, tofu is made from soy bean curd, yea it sounds gross, but it's good. You can also buy bags of just, soy beans in general to snack on. There are lots of microwaveable things that you can make that have tofu. Now I'm not suggesting the tofu dogs or hamburgers, I hate stuff like that personally, you can actually heat up the cubes and eat them, if you have some left over rice in the fridge and pour it over that.

now see, if you present to your parents that there are many EASY alternatives to being a vegetarian they will most likely want to help you. There are lots of cheap vegetarian products you can also find at the grocery store, and at almost every restaurant they have a vegetarian part of the menu. If you can convince them that you won't be a hassle, I think that you being a vegetarian could work. I hope I helped you and if you have ANY more questions I'd be more than glad to help, it's good to see another budding vegetarian. :)

p.s. just so I don't forget to put it, you dont' have to become a FULL vegetarian, I know lots of people that just eat chicken, because studies show that beef/ or steak is actually bad for you, or worse than chicken.

okay i have a b/f and i really like him and all but then i like another guy (and i know its a *really* bad thing when you got a b/f) but i think he likes other girls too but i'm not for sure but he acts like it..but anyways this other guy i like is my ex..and i never have gotten totally over him and i think my ex is more my type than the guys i'm going out with right now i mean i love my b/f and all don't get me wrong but i don't know if i should dump my b/f or stay with him because of summer and all but my ex is moving soon and i'm really really gonna miss him and he likes me to and he was gonna ask me out:( and i don't know what to do i'm so lost..can someone help me out on what to do? cause they both like me and i don't know which one to choose..

Your ex is moving anyway, so what happens if you dump your bf, go out with your ex and then, WHAM BAM, he's gone. Where does that leave you? If I were you, I'd stay with your bf, if you really don't like him then dump him (nicely of course) but don't go back with your ex, I think that's just asking for drama and trouble.

hm, I think maybe you need to learn that guys are not worth it, NO GUY, I mean seriously. You can like a guy, ALOT, I know what that's like, but he shouldn't rule your world or be controlling over your friendship.

I was fairly recently diagnosed with having OCD and Anxiety. I am taking medications for these disorders of the brain. However, I can never sleep and I have to appetite whatsoever. There are also many other side effects that I have, one being the possibility of an eating disorder. Can someone help me, please? In any way possible?

You need to talk to your doctor about these side effects immediately, he can probably give you an alternative medication that won't give these effects.Or can perscribe extra medication that cancels these out.

what is the best way for love to happen? i've heard that love for sight is just lust. i think love is build on friendship, is this true?

a good foundation for love is friendship and a good knowledge of eachother. Mystery doesn't make for good love, or at least not in my opinion. I think that knowing simply everything about eachother.. it shows the love. Having things in common with eachother helps break the ice and just a simple understanding of eachother. It all really depends.

Okay so ive got this problem. theres this guyi think i like now. hes a freshman and im a sophmore. i met him like a month ago but we never really talked til just recently. but its not like talking on the phone or anything, its thruogh text messages. he came and sat with me at lunch otday but didnt really say anthing bc hes really shy. he supposidly drinks a lot and has done a lot with girls, except i find it kinda hard to belive, bc hes so shy! i think im really stratin to like him, but idk if its the person through the texts i like, or him, i mena theyre the same person, but he just acts different. well i think im really startng to fall for him. like i like him a lot, do you think i shuld tell him i like him and hope for the best or should i sit it out until he strats talking to me in person? thanks... i rate!

Did you ever think that maybe someone else is making the text messages? Just a suggestion. I think you should try to get to know the ral person, you can't build a real relationship off of text messages.. I mean, words aren't the only part of the relationship. Maybe if you go on a date with him you'll see his true side, if he really is a bad drinker and does a lot with girls. If you really like him be sure to set boundries and if he can't follow them than he's not worth it.

i used to be best friends with...lets call her Jenny, and now one of my other good friends is hanging out with her way more and they're hanging out which wouldnt be a problem except when i ask her if they hung out she says no..or doesnt answer me!! i know it sounds babyish but i need help!

She is probably trying to protect your feelings, maybe she thinks your feeling left out, and doesn't want to talk about a time she had with her friend without you to your face. If you want her to tell you though just ask, it's always the easiest way.
