this guy found me on myspace and said i was really cute. hes really cute too and he said he just moved to my city. and he told me where he lived by and its really close to me. well he was like can i do a mapquest? cause im not sure how close u live. i wasnt thinking and i gave him my address and stuff for mapquest. now hes always like we should hangout and stuff. and hes like just turned 18. and he always talks about how much he drinks..and smokes...and i dont know im worried. what if he like comes to my house or something?.....

When I read this question...I was shocked. Really. Because I know people do some stupid things on the internet, but at least they have the common sense to at least not give their ADDRESS to a total stranger (No matter how "cute" they are). Please, remember next time, you shouldn't even give out personal information like your number, or zip code...ESPECIALLY important things like addresses!

DEFINITELY tell your parents. Because if the guy really did come, I don't think they'll be too happy and you won't be either (Imagine what he might do!).

I think maybe you should tell the guy you're going to move houses in the next few weeks or something. Make it believable, not something you made up because you accidentally gave him your address.

You should also eventually tell him you aren't interested in meeting people over the internet and your parents know about your internet activies and don't approve of it. That way he can get that you don't want a visit from him and your parents know about it. Then block the guy. Extra sercurity measure would be to get a security alarm or something. Never walk around by yourself (Although you probably shouldn't have before anyway).

This may be good that it happened because some people only learn after they have made a mistake. Just don't do the same mistake twice!
